About The Symposium

The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong (MHAHK) is celebrating her 70th Anniversary this year and is going to organize a Symposium on Mental Health at Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park, Shatin on 4-6 December 2024.

“Flourishing Mental Wellness Across The Life Span” is the theme for the Symposium.  It will encompass four sessions with sub-themes on:

(1) Youth Mental Health

(2) Adult Mental Health

(3) Mental Health of Old Age

(4) Mental Wellness in Caregiving

World-class experts from both abroad and locally will be invited to share their insights and provide valuable perspectives on promoting mental health and well-being across all stages of life.

The Symposium is expected to attract international and local professionals in the mental health field, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and allied health professionals.  Additionally, peer workers and carers will also be in attendance.  We anticipate that this diverse audience will facilitate worthwhile explorations and exchanges on prevention in psychiatry across the lifespan, aiding in the articulation of community strategies on the subject matter in Hong Kong.
