The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong collaborated with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta for the concert of “The Other Side of Beethoven” on 3rd and 4th August, 2024, two shows were conducted at Tuen Mun Town Hall Auditorium.
Our Association hopes to let public know more about the ups and downs of Beethoven’s life, including gradually losing hearing until deaf, broken relationships and career difficulties, health problems and so on, all frustrations affected his emotions, but inspired he wrote a lot of fabulous masterpieces, showed us how he struggled with fate by his willpower, that’s why his symphonies have been fascinating for so many years.
Two concerts were popular, over 1,500 people participated, including the organization’s members, community partners, service users, family carers etc., everyone is enthusiastic about music which also arouses us that mental health is for everyone.
