Event Recap
Highlights of “Tai Po District Service Units Open Day”

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of our association, the 4 service units in Tai Po District—Kwong Fuk House, Jockey Club Amity Place (Tai Po), Jockey Club Sunny Place, and the Training and Employment Service Centre (New Territories)—jointly organized the “Tai Po District Service Units Open Day”, which was successfully completed on July 20th. Approximately 350 guests participated in this event, including guests from various organizations and universities.

The event was led by guides, started at Kwong Fuk House to visit our services—understanding the lives of the service users in the halfway house, experiencing the current environmental recycling training for the service users.

At Jockey Club Amity Place (Tai Po), guests not only enjoyed wonderful dance performances by the service users, but also learned about the services of the Integrated Community Centre for Mental Wellness and other new service projects supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (including Jockey Club Community Integration Project for Mental Wellness, Jockey Club ‘BaMa Chill Club’ Perinatal Support Project, and Mental Health Support Programme in Primary Care Setting).

Later, guests arrived at Jockey Club Sunny Place to visit the services of supported apartment. Through volunteer booths, room tours, and photo zones, participants gained a deep understanding of the services and environment of the supported apartment. This also showcased the community’s support and care for people in mental recovery. Jockey Club Sunny Place also featured a promotional booth for Jockey Club Sleep Well Project, allowing participants to understand the important elements of improving sleep.

The final stop of the journey was the Training and Employment Service Centre (New Territories), where guests learned about the center’s services and experienced job training through vocational experience games. The center also invited friendly employers to participate in booths, providing guests with handcrafted beverages and art workshops.

We sincerely thank all the guests for their support. The service units in Tai Po District will continue to provide quality services to the community, and various service projects will continue to promote community mental health.
